Manufactured materials

Partial update of a manufactured material. Two equivalent lookups:

  • Call by id — Fairly Made id (UUID v4) from the 201 response
  • Call by unique identifier — your uniqueIdentifier from creation

Updates are locked once traceability collection starts. If you run traceability collection (SDC) with Fairly Made, a PATCH on this entity is taken into account only until the collection is launched for its uniqueIdentifier. Collection can be launched only once per uniqueIdentifier — after that launch, PATCH calls on this entity are no longer taken into account. (Brand products are the exception: they can be updated at any time.)

Call by unique identifier

Request

Call by: uniqueIdentifier — your internal reference from POST /manufactured-materials.

Partial update with the same body and rules as Call by id. If the material belongs to another client → 404 (ManufacturedMaterialNotFoundByUniqueIdentifier).

Raw material name taxonomy (from official material–attribute pairs; each name must be combined with a valid attribute for that material). Use the Fairly Made Material Selector spreadsheet to see which attributes are allowed for each name (Step 1 = material, Step 2 = allowed attributes), then align with the enums here. Raw material attribute taxonomy. Values are only valid in combination with a given raw material name; each material name accepts only the attributes defined in the official material–attribute pairs. To choose the correct attribute for a given material name, use the Fairly Made Material Selector (Google Sheets): Step 1 — select the material; Step 2 — lists the attributes you may use with that name.
